Leashes: a mom's best friend

I have to start this post by saying that I used to be one of those people that thought parents who put leashes on their kids were cruel. I honestly believed they couldn't handle their children and needed to rely on some restraining contraption to do the work for them.

I WAS WRONG!!

I thought these things until I became the mother of the most curious little boy around...an absolute wanderer.

I finally broke down and bought this little bear-back-pack-harness-leash and I have to admit it's probably the best 9 bucks I have ever spent. What is even more wonderful is that he LOVES it. Whenever he wants to go for a walk he brings it to me and sticks his arms out so I'll put it on. Then when we get to our desired destination I just unhook the leash and he runs around sporting a cool bear back-pack complete with a snack and drink tucked inside...perfection!

I love that he loves that backpack so much! He looks so cute it in and I have to say that you made me look at it differently too.

I bought all 3 of mine one and not one of them would wear it for long. I am SO jealous that he loves his!! I'll get them out from time to time, just to see if something has changed, but so far, there hasn't been much luck, once the drink and fruit snacks are gone, they don't want to wear them. He is SO cute~

Isn't it funny that what you say you will never or have God gives you the EXACT CHILD!! I swore my kid would always have a clean face. Let me introduce you to the messiest kid alive! At bathtime I find ketchup and whatever else he has eaten EVERYWHERE! (Toes and the backs of his legs included)

Did you ever see Mike Myers in an SNL bit about harnesses. Look it up on NBC.com. Jack is hilarious.
