Purse contents tag

As requested, here are the contents of my purse which was purchased at TJ Max...
-The diapers and wipes are a given with two kids. My new born does require at least three diapers anytime we go anywhere-this girl messes her pants more than I thought humanly possible!

-The prescription bottles are the oh-so-wonderful pain killers from my recent c-section. Luckily I don't need them much anymore!

- The finger puppet and graham crackers are for a bored Jack in a long grocery store check out line...if you don't have finger puppets they really are a must-You can purchase a rather large bag of them at IKEA for under 5 dollars.
- Wallet

- Lotion for dry winter hands

- Balmex for dry winter bums...especially the one that needs changing three times an hour!

- keys

- a pen just in case

There you have it, it really isn't much but I like to keep it simple so that every time I stick my hand in my large purse I can actually find what I'm looking for. oh-and my phone is in my purse when I am on the go, obviously I am not at the moment so it is sitting right next to me.

I tag my sister candise becuase I took a peek into your purse the other day and was amazed at all the stuff you could fit in there.

Moments...

Having 3 dirty diapers on the floor, 2 kids that need to be fed, and a husband that needs to get to work can cause a certain amount of chaos to arise in a home. Sometimes it makes you want to rip your hair out, but mostly you know things just need to be done! Amidst all the madness somehow it seems that our lives are blessed with little moments that make the day wonderful, and can make anyone look forward to the next day.
This morning while scott was in class Jack came up to me while I was giving bianca a snuggle and pointed to her saying "beebee". I let him hold her and he was amazingly gentle and sweet with her. He kept looking at her and giving her hugs then would hold her hand. I grabbed my camera thinking this moment was too sweet to pass up...enjoy

Adjusting...

I am back in almost full swing after my c-section (thanks to regular doses of percocet, motrin and lots of help from scotty and my parents). Our little family of three has become four and I am going to be honest...this is a major adjustment. The first night home was spent changing 7 poopy diapers, nursing about every 45 minutes, and jack screaming everytime the bianca woke up. hmm, I thought I was done being a mom of 2 but after a suffient breakdown, a warm shower, and a husband who stepped in and took over I realized it was probably the hormones talking and I just needed a few days. It has been a few days and things are wonderful! jack has learned to sleep through her crying, bianca has been able to control her bowel movements to just two nightly and has figured out that she really only needs to nurse twice from midnight to noon...life is grand!
We really are enjoying this chubby ray of sunshine, scott and I spend most of the day just trading off snuggles. Jack likes to look at her and call her "beebee", and is also learning how to be "soft".

Ready to POP!!!

Well we have finally reached the countdown...less than 24 hours to go before I can have this little muncher here! I will be honest, this c-section could not be here a moment too soon. My ankles are swollen, my pelvis hurts, there is no comfortable postition-and believe me I have tried them all!! I also have to say that I have had an easy pregnancy so I don't really know why I am complaining right now...I will blame it on my nerves

wish me luck...I will be at american fork hospital for a few days so stop by for a visit if you have a chance!

oh-and I taught scotty how to do a post so you can expect pictures of our little beauty tomorrow!!

A lesson on cleanliness...

Lately I have been trying to teach jackson what kinds of things go in the trash. I don't know why I think he could possibly be helpful but with a another baby coming in a couple of days I think I am feeling overwhelmed...I mean come on, what young naive mother wouldn't think that her 16 month old could be helpful around the house, right?!? Well we have started with diapers and actually he is catching on quite nicely. He will carry his dirty diaper all the way to the trash while saying yuck, yuck, yuck. I know it isn't much, but I figure at this point anything is better than nothing!

Molars and story books...

Lately jack has been walking around with his hand on his cheek saying ow,ow,ow. I just thought it was one of those silly things kids did and actually thought it was pretty cute. Soon I noticed that he didn't seem to feel great. It took me a few days but I finally put two and two together...I stuck my finger in his little mouth and he had all these jagged points sticking out! I quickly broke out the tylenol and now his molars are coming in nicely.

Another new devolopment is his love for storybooks. Before now I couldn't get this kid to do anything with a book except rip it apart. As long as the pictures are good and the phrases are limited to a few words to keep the pages turning fast enough, he will sit on your lap and relax. It is nice to be able to do something that doesn't involve 25 rounds of "we all fall down" (which can be slightly taxing on the body of someone 9 months pregnant!)
